About DCA

What is sodium dichloroacetate (DCA)?

add

Sodium dichloroacetate is a research compound that inhibits pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase (PDK), reactivating mitochondrial metabolism. It has been studied for over 50 years in oncology, endometriosis, ME/CFS, and metabolic disorders. AuraDCA products are for research purposes only.

What is the difference between sodium DCA and potassium DCA?

add

Both contain the same active dichloroacetate anion. The difference is the counterion — sodium vs potassium. Potassium DCA is sometimes preferred for sodium-restricted research protocols. The mechanism of action is identical.

What dosing protocols are used in published research?

add

Published research has used a wide range of doses depending on the condition studied. We strongly recommend reviewing our Research Library for summaries of published protocols. AuraDCA does not provide medical or dosing advice.

Should I take Thiamine (B1) with DCA?

add

Several published studies suggest that supplementing with Thiamine (B1) may support peripheral nerve health during DCA research protocols. We recommend reviewing the relevant literature. This is not medical advice — consult a qualified professional.

Our Testing

What is MCA and why does it matter?

add

Monochloroacetate (MCA) is a toxic byproduct that can contaminate DCA during synthesis. Standard HPLC purity testing cannot detect it — you need separate ion chromatography. Most DCA sellers never test for MCA. AuraDCA tests every batch and requires MCA ≤0.05%. Our most recent batch result: None detected.

Who tests your products?

add

Every batch is independently tested by Eurofins — one of the world's largest independent laboratory networks. We test for HPLC purity, MCA by ion chromatography, heavy metals, and moisture. The Certificate of Analysis ships inside every order.

Can I see the COA before buying?

add

Yes — contact us at hello@auradca.com and we will send you the current batch Certificate of Analysis. Every COA is batch-specific and issued by Eurofins Vilnius.

What is HPLC and why does it matter?

add

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is the gold standard method for measuring purity of research chemicals. Our batch HRK20260228 tested at 99.92% purity by HPLC — the highest published purity in the DCA market.

Products & Ordering

Are your products approved for human use?

add

No. AuraDCA products are sold for research purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Why are products currently out of stock?

add

We are completing independent Eurofins verification before our first batch ships. We will not ship any product until it passes our full testing protocol. Join the waitlist to be notified when products launch.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?

add

Yes, we accommodate bulk research orders. Email hello@auradca.com with your requirements for a custom quote.

What is the shelf life of your products?

add

Our products have a shelf life of 2 years from manufacture date when stored correctly — sealed, cool, dry, and away from direct light. The manufacture and expiry date appear on each batch COA.

What is your return policy?

add

Due to the nature of research chemicals, we do not accept returns after dispatch. If your order arrives damaged or without a COA, contact hello@auradca.com within 48 hours and we will resolve it.

Safety & Usage

Is DCA safe?

add

DCA has been studied for over 50 years. Like all research compounds, it has a known side effect profile including potential peripheral neuropathy at higher doses. We strongly recommend reading the safety literature in our Research Library before conducting any research. AuraDCA products are for research purposes only.

What is the research only disclaimer?
